Johannesburg, 10 July 2007: MDM Engineering Limited is pleased to announce that Grant Lowman and Michael (Mike) Greenhalgh have been appointed Deputy CEO and Manager of Projects respectively.
Grant graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a BSc in Chemical Engineering in 1988 and a BCom through Unisa in 1991. He began his career at Highveld Steel & Vanadium in 1990 in the projects division, and was assistant production manager at Transalloys when he left to join the Industrial Development Corporation. He then joined FNB Corporate Bank in 1996 in the project finance division and thereafter headed up RMB’s project finance resources unit, leaving to join Bateman in 2004 where he sat on the Group Exco, with responsibility for the global project finance unit. Grant joined MDM Engineering in January this year.
Mike’s qualifications include a Pr Eng,a C Eng, a MI Struct E and a M.S.A.I.C.E. He brings with him 25 years of experience in project management. He has also gained extensive experience in surface handling facilities in civil engineering. Mike has worked for, among others, Titaco Consolidated Investments Ltd, Titaco Projects and Bateman Engineering Management Services. Before joining MDM Engineering, he was General Manager of Operations at Titaco where he was tasked with overseeing the implementation of projects executed within the Bateman Titaco company. Mike joined MDM Engineering this week.

MDM Engineering Limited (MDM Engineering) is a BVI registered, mining and metallurgical engineering company which was established in February 2006. The company has an enterprise value of some US$12 million and US$3.5 million in working capital and is currently negotiating to become a member of the Amari Holdings Limited Group, a resource investment company with a balance sheet in excess of US$100 million. MDM Engineering has a team with 18 years of operational experience. The company was formed by George Bennett (now Chief Executive of MDM Engineering) and Mike Nunn (now a non-executive director of MDM Engineering) who purchased the intellectual capital and data from MDM (Pty) Ltd and employed key staff from MDM Ferroman (Pty) Ltd, after the latter company had been placed in provisional liquidation.
